I, too, run a rescue and we occassionally fly dogs via commercial airlines. The animals are put in the baggage area and are alone during the flight. I cannot imagine putting a sick dog on a plane because if something were to happen there would be no one there to notice it. Even tranquilizers are not allowed.
I hope that some more consciencious company offers her a job she has the qualifications that any company would want. Even if she is offered her job back I hope she gets a different job with a company that truly appreciates her.
I admire this woman for keeping her cool and doing the right thing. I can't keep quiet when I see something this horrific and usually make things worse by raising holy hell.
